My answer . . .

Before explaining my answer, I first have to post about Phil's wonderful dutch oven cooking skills!

Okay, I think I can get to explaining my answer now. To preface the answer that I recieved, I better back up and explain the question, or problem, whatever you want to call it. As of late, I have been totally overcome with feelings of confusion, worry, stress, indecision, etc. This is all due to the fact that Phil graduates in August and by October we are supposed to be moving to wherever Phil has a job. Well, since we have been unable to get a job where we would like, we have had to try and figure out where else we should go. Last night was an ultimate tear fest for me as Phil and I yet again "discussed" this topic. Today, I hadn't given it much thought, in fact, I was purposefully trying to block all those feelings. Usually, when I really concentrate on my boys, all thoughts and energy go towards them. We were standing by the open window watching the birds and smelling the fresh air after the rain stopped this morning. And I was reminded of a favorite primary song:

After singing the song (yes Phil, I sang it out loud-and the boys liked it), I felt just like what it said, clean and filled with maybe not beauty but peace. Then as I began blogging about this, I was on the Church website getting the words for the primary song, and found this:



Can I just say, WOW! So much of that message applied to me and how I felt. As I watched, I knew I had my answer. It definitely isn't the answer that I wanted but there it is . . . endure. I can do that, I just may need help remembering that!

I just want to bare my testimony of this gospel. I love this church, and know it to be the only true church on this earth. I am grateful for the blessings that can be mine by living righteously. I have so much gratitude for the strength and courage of a 14 year old boy who said a special prayer and through a lot of effort helped to restore Christ's church on this earth. I'm so grateful for the scriptures and the messages in them. I have a testimony of the temple and am grateful for the opportunity to go. What a blessing of peace that can be felt there. I have a strong testimony of the atonement. I am humbled to know that Christ died for our sins. I have an unbelievable amount of love for my husband and my children. They teach me so many lessons, and I stand in awe of their example. In the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.

I don't know why I wrote this down, but maybe it will be there to help me in the future.

I would greatly appreciate it if you would stop playing Peek-A-Boo and come out to stay. My boys are so much happier when you are out. Oh what the heck, I'M so much happier when you are out. Will you please come out and play with us?

Hip Hip Hooray

I had a Birthday!

Over the weekend, I celebrated my 25th Birthday. Phil is so kind and continues to remind me that I am now a quarter of a century old. I really don't think it's that old, but it is fun to joke about! I had the best day, mostly due to my sweet husband! I awoke to breakfast in bed, and then headed to the salon to get my hair done . . . which I love. The pictures don't really do it justice.


After that it was lunch, opening presents, and taking a long nap. Then we headed out for an early dinner (which was necessary seeing how three of the high schools were celebrating Prom), and a shopping trip to the mall. Before putting the kids to bed, we (yes I do mean we) sang Happy Birthday and blew out the candles! All in all, it was a PERFECT day! Thank you so much to my family and friends who made me feel so special. Oh and thank you so much for the dress, money, table runner, necklace, shirt, book, CD, Outdoor Fireplace, etc. Love to all!


We have also had a few warm days, and have tried to make use of them!

Let's Go Fly a Kite & Other Festivities

We had a great weekend as we celebrated Easter! We started early by going with some friends to an Easter Egg Hunt put on by the city of West Fargo. Coleman and Teegan loved playing in the "grass" where the eggs were hidden.


On Friday night we decided to color Easter Eggs. Coleman colored his eggs before putting them in the dye. He was fairly careful for a two year old, and we only lost 2 eggs. Teegan didn't love the whole experience, but I think we'll blame that on age, and the need to go to bed!

On Saturday, the weather was just right for flying kites! After going to dinner with some friends, we decided to make use of the crazy wind. Coleman was so fun to watch and kept running around as he attempted to hold on to the Kite. There were a few times that he let go, and then we all went running trying to catch it!


On Sunday, the boys got to have a mini egg hunt and see what the Easter Bunny brought them. Teegan and I pose for the camera with all our baskets lined up!

Coleman and Teegan in their Easter Sweaters! I actually bought them on sale, intending to use them this fall, but Teegan is growing so fast, I decided to use them for their Easter outfits!

That morning, we had Stake Conference, but it wasn't anything like what I was used to. They did a broadcast Stake Conference to like 7 different states in the mid-west, and we had the opportunity to hear from Elder Oaks, and President Monson. It was so good!


Anyway, to finish off the festivities, I attempted having a nice Easter dinner with Ham, Cheesy Potatoes, Green Beans, Biscuits, etc. Well the ham was dry, I ruined the potatoes somehow, the beans were cold, but the biscuits were okay! Oh well, all in all it was a great weekend! Wish we could do it again!

Not So Proud Daddy Moments

Okay, I don't get an opportunity to blog as much as I would like. So when I shot this video I just had to post it on the blog. My wife swears that I taught him this word, but seeing how he spends 95% of his waking hours with mom I kind of find it hard to believe. Although I do have to take credit for "BS", not the word but the letters, but what else are you supposed to say when the computer cheats on Mario Kart Wii.
