Another House, Another Holiday

So we put an offer in on a house today. I'm hoping we'll know if it has been accepted sometime next week. I am posting pictures by request of family, so here you go!

This is the main floor of the house. As you walk in there is a formal living and dining on the right. The stairs going up in the center, and an office and hallway off to the left. You walk through the hall and pass a mud room that leads to a half bath and the garage. And then into the "Great Room" with the Family room on the left, and dining nook in the center and the kitchen on the right.

Upstairs has three bedrooms, plus the Master, and the laundry room. The Master is my favorite room in the entire house because it has a sitting area with a two-sided fireplace between the bed and sitting area. It is so pretty!


And last, but not least, here are a few pics from St. Patrick's Day. It's funny how the little holidays are so much different with the little ones around!

"Spring" Break Weekend

This weekend, we drove out to Rexburg/Idaho Falls area. We got to spend some time with family and friends! On Friday night we went to dinner and swimming with Natalie, Jacob and Preston (Phil's sister and fam). Unfortunately I didn't get any pictures of us. On Saturday, Phil and I went and did a session here:

Wow! It was amazing! Phil and I couldn't stop talking about how beautiful it was! We then went to lunch with these guys:
(Jeff, Kayci, Grace, and Claire) I had to steal this picture off their blog, because you guessed it, I forgot to take pictures.

When Phil and I were doing our Undergrad, this is where I worked, and every time I visit Rexburg, I HAVE to go back. It is so yummy!

After that, we drove down to Idaho Falls and met up with these guys:

And once again, I had to steal this picture off their blog because I forgot to take pictures of them while we were there. Anyway, we had lots of fun catching up, riding the 4-wheeler, and playing games . . . "Settler's of Catan" of course!
So here are the three snapshots I took from the entire weekend. Phil all dressed up to go ride the 4-wheeler.

Phil insisted that I go, even though I was definitely not prepared. (It was snowy and muddy, and cold)

Even though it was chilly, the boys had tons of fun playing in the snow. This is the first they had seen it since New Year's Eve!

8 Things

I'm tired of looking at the dumb housing posts . . . it's not going well today . . . and my sister tagged me on this, so I'm doing it!

Eight things I'm passionate about:

1-My Husband--I know it's pathetic, but I get so jealous when Phil talks about other girls, and all the girls he dated before we met (and there were A LOT of girls).
2-My Boys--Phil says I have a serious case of Mother Bear syndrome, but I can't help it.
3-My Parents--When Phil and I get in arguments about how to raise our children, I am always fighting for the way I was raised, because I think my parents are perfect!
4-My Siblings--I feel very close to them, and feel very lucky to call them my best friends.
5-Faith--If I ever get in a discussion about the church, I usually end up crying and strongly defending what I believe.
6-Freedom--I am a strong supporter of our Nations leaders (even if it isn't who I voted for) and the decisions they make. I like to think that they are doing the best job they can.
7-Baking Yummy Treats--This one is off and on. I'll bake for awhile and then I feel guilty about all the sweets I'm feeding my family and I stop. And then it starts up again!
8-Twilight--I know start laughing. I don't care. It has a happy ending and I love it!

7-Become a better Horticulturist (to finally be able to look at a plant, and tell someone what it is)

House Update

Just wanted to let you know that we put an offer in on the house and . . . then we retracted that offer. Phil and I both had some promptings to hold off for a bit and wait. I don't really know why we need to wait. Maybe there is this really amazing house just waiting to be found! We'll see, but for now, we just get to continue with the house search. Thanks to everyone for commenting, and letting us know what you thought. We really appreciate it! Love you all!

House Hunting Take II

So we have had a turn of events since I blogged on Tuesday. We went and saw this house, and it is AMAZING!

It is on 0.25 acres (large for Boise standards) and is in a very nice neighborhood with swimming pools, walking paths, parks, etc. I am hoping you will take a peak and tell me what you think. We are trying to decided wether or not to buy, and I would LOVE to hear your input, so PLEASE COMMENT and tell me what you really think. BE HONEST-this is a huge decision for us, and we could use all the advice we can get.

The main floor has a formal living room, offic/den, laundry room, two bedrooms, a full bathroom, great room, dining area, and kitchen.


I think the stairs in this house are so pretty.
To explain the fish tank . . . under the stairs is a large closet with a 50 gallon fish tank that peeks through the wall, so you can see the fish without seeing the tank, kind of clever, but we would probably get rid of it--sorry Cam!

Upstairs there is the Master bedroom and bath, another bedroom, a bathroom, and a bonus room.

House Hunting and More

So my boys have been doing a lot of this:

We are full force ahead in the housing search. Unfortunately we have had a few bumps in the road. The first house we found and LOVED and wanted to buy (see above pic) had an offer put on it the night before, by one of Phil's co-workers/friend. Not someone you can try and bump with a new offer. So we start searching again, and find a home in the process of being built. It was PERFECT! But, low and behold, they "accidentally" listed the home for $100,000 less than what it should have been. This of course, bumps us out of our price range, and we can no longer pursue that route. So once again, we are back to square one. Oh well, in the mean time, we have been hanging out with friends, and spending time together as a family.


Oh and I just had to post this:

We were running some errands, and Teegan was playing with his hat, and it just had Coleman laughing! I sure do have some silly boys! (Note: I pulled over to the side of the road before I took the pictures!) :)

La Ti Da

We haven't been up to much, just some random family fun time! We have spent a lot of time just the four of us, and it actually has been really nice. I feel really blessed to have three cute boys to fill all of my time! (Well one has to work a lot, but that's life!)
One night, we rewarded Coleman and Teegan with some Ice Cream, and everyone was filled with smiles! There wasn't anything significant happening and it was just a random night, but we were all laughing and just enjoying time together.

The boys recieved some money from Great Grandma and Grandpa Roylance for Christmas and we decided to go to "Build A Bear" to spend it! They had a lot of fun choosing the puppy dog to fill (they both had to have the same one, of course!). Next they played at the washing station, but then wouldn't move on to choose the clothes. It was such a headache! Anyway, with great effort, we finally finished up, and we now have "Joe, the Rockin' Fireman", and "Pup, the Football player". We had a coupon for a free accessory, but we couldn't find something to go with the fireman, so Coleman chose a guitar . . . classic Coleman!
And this past weekend, Phil and I decided to take the boys miniature golfing. We found this place that was glow-in-the-dark and Coleman and Teegan LOVED IT! We all had a lot of fun!

Well, I guess we have been having too much fun because I keep finding my kids crashed out on the couch. This one of Teegan just makes me giggle! How on earth can that be comfortable!?!

And to end this post, the other day, Teegan was stuffing his face with oranges and then started to do some silly faces! So cute!
