Music

So I have now just spent an hour and a half trying to figure out this music thing. I saw this on a friends blog (thanks Jennie) and I thought it would be fun to add to mine. Anyway, poor Coleman just keeps playing with his toys, then he'll come grab my arm and give me the look. I guess I better go bathe him now. I hope all who look at my blog now enjoy my music too! You can stop the music by pushing the pause button. That is for all of you who don't enjoy excellent music! Come check back again, I'll be adding more music.

Grammy & Grumpy

Well, we just went through another super fun weekend! Grammy and Grumpy came, and we just had a blast! Dad and Phil went to the UND football game (they lost), while Mom, Coleman, and I went shopping. We then met up, went to dinner at Green Mill, which I thought was delicious, and from there headed to the UND hockey game. Phil was able to score us some awesome seats, three rows from the glass. Can I just say WOW! We had so much fun! (UND beat defending champs Michigan State 6-0). On Sunday it was a much more relaxing day filled with church, food, games, and walks by the river!

As for today, it isn't nearly as fun as the weekend. Coleman woke up with a cough and a runny nose and sneezing. He seams to be dizzy when he walks because he falls every couple steps and then cries and cries and cries. Right now he is doped up on medicine and sleeping thank heavens! Well, lets hope this doesn't last too long!

Wonderful Weekends

We just had the best, most relaxing weekend. We stayed in our pjs from Friday night all the way until Monday morning. Don't worry, we showered and put new pjs on each day. I added a picture of Coleman in the bath. Isn't he cute? Since it was conference weekend, we decided to take it nice and slow. Phil just set up his laptop and we watched conference via the internet. Other than the picture being smaller, I didn't even notice that I wasn't watching it on tv. Yesterday we made some delicious sugar cookies, if I do say so myself! We did fun Halloween shapes, and Phil's creativity definitely came out when it came time to add the sprinkles! :) Today I have been working on our halloween costumes. We are being a little boring by going as a Vampire (Phil), Witch (Me), and a Spider (Coleman). But oh well, what can you do? I am really excited about this next weekend, because Mom and Dad are coming to visit. Yeah family! :) I hope good weekends keep right on coming!

Terrible Mother

Well, today has been a rough one for Coleman and I. It all started when I was trying to trim his hair in the bathtub this morning. When of course he turned his head quickly, and off went a pretty good chunk of his ear. I freaked out and then almost passed out from all the blood. Coleman was amazing. He cried for just a little bit and then was ready to crawl around and play. I called Phil and told him he had to come home, I needed a nurse. So it turns out that Coleman just bled, a lot, needed a band-aid and was good to go. However, I am left with a terrible guilt and the feelings of a horrible mother. Lets just hope tomorrow goes a little bit better.

Rainy Days

It's raining again today. Phil and I briefly discussed moving to Seattle for school, but I was quick to remind him that I would get too depressed. However, I am rethinking it. It rains so much here. Well, I guess compared to Utah and Idaho. We were so excited when the sun came out this past Saturday and Sunday. But, it's gone again. Oh well! I don't know why, but the people here must really be into Halloween. A lot of people already have all their Halloween decor out. It's gotten me in the mood! I have been searching all morning for costume ideas. We have our trunk or treat party on Oct. 24th that I need to have them made by. I know, I know, it is still a month away, but I just can't help it! I am so excited. So if you have any good ideas for three costumes, let me know!

Potato Bowl

Hello all,

So we went to the Potato Bowl festivities over the weekend. The french fry feed was fun, but also really cold and wet (it rained). After we went to that, we had to go home and defrost! We gathered up Hot Chocolate and popcorn and watched the fireworks from the warmth of the car. One of the radio stations choreographed music to the fireworks. It was really good. On Saturday, we bundled up once again and headed to the Farmers Market and then the Potato Bowl Parade. It was chilly 35*, but we survived. That afternoon, the UND Fighting Sioux played Central Washington. The game was really close. They were tied at a minute and a half left in the game and were able to score another touchdown. You should have seen Phil. He went WILD! :) Well that was the events of our weekend. Sorry we only brought the camera to the french fry feed, and because it was raining, we didn't really take many pictures, but here's a few snapshots!

North Dakota . . .

Wow, I really am terrible at this. We are now in North Dakota. I am starting to get into the swing of things with this life change. Life is starting to slow down a little now that Phil is full-steam ahead with school. Coleman and I just spend our days hanging out until Dad gets home, then its usually eat dinner and go to bed. A little boring, but nonetheless we are surviving. I've been trying to keep busy with projects like the card club and the friendship quilt. I have yet to find a good scrapbooking store, or even a cute quilt shop, but I am sure they are around here somewhere. The 47th Potato Bowl is going on this week. On Thursday, we are headed to the annual French Fry Feed where they feed over 10,000 people with about 5,000 pounds of potatos. These aren't the type of potatos Phil and I are used to from Idaho. These are the little red potatos. I haven't even seen a good sized Idaho potato. Anyway, after the record breaking feed, we'll head over to the fireworks show. Watch out though, it's going to be chilly! Our highs this week range between 50-55*. Maybe it's me, but I thought the colder weather came on pretty fast. I guess I'll update you on how it went, and hopefully add pictures! :)
