Where in the World . . .

Actually, where in the United States of America should Phil and Megan live?

Phil has (finally) begun the job hunt. He talked to some people and they told him the first decision is to look at where you want to go. We've begun to realize what an opportunity this is. We can move ANYWHERE in the U.S. (with the exception of Utah because there aren't very many jobs there and they don't really like CRNAs). So, I pose to you this question: If you could live anywhere in the states, where would you live and why? PLEASE COMMENT and let us know what you think. Phil and I are really struggling trying to decide.

And because I haven't added any pictures for awhile, here are a couple.

The other night, Phil and Coleman were playing with the big trucks and they decided Teegan should join in the fun. Here they are going around my house in circles!

I know I can get frustrated at their noise level sometimes, but I want to take this moment to remind myself to treasure these very loud and wild times. I know they will disappear all too soon!

My vote is Texas more specifically the Dallas Fort Worth area. Then we can hang out again! Think of all the Buffalo Wild Wings dates we can go one! haha!

Phil...Gene says Columbus, OH! LOL, we love it here! You and Gene could see eachother and hang out...Meghan, I don't know you but I would like too! (PS Sheena and Ryan live here too)

Of course I want you guys to live by us...but since that's in the one area you can't go....I would vote for somewhere warm and near a beach, that makes lots of dough, and where housing is cheap: I guess that puts you in Texas. :)

If it were up to me - I'd be in Northern Florida, South Carolina, or Texas (for warm places)...for places like home - I'd be in Idaho. Good luck picking...just make sure it's somewhere you want to be!

I know you already know about this, but the hardest part about living in the East is how far away it is from family. Friends are great, but when it comes down to it, it's nice to have a free babysitter sometimes, and just be able to go somewhere unannounced and be able to hang out. With that in mind, I absolutely love living in Rochester, NY. (And we are kind of family you know!) :) Sure, the winters are brutal, but the people are so genuinely nice. Goods don't cost an arm and a leg, (if you don't count property taxes). The Fall is gorgeous, and we are close enough to a big city to enjoy children's museums, zoos, and all sorts of art. Good luck with the hunt. I know Phil will do great where ever he goes. I can't wait to see where you end up.

Umm... I think you should wait until we know where the heck we are going, and then move there :) All I know is that I am going someplace that winter is non-existent!

Ryan votes for Boston. He travels there a lot for work and loves it. He also said it has some of the best hospitals in the country and not to mention many very cool places to visit within driving distance.

Talk about a bummer--I was just about to recommend Logan, UT when I read the "not Utah" thing. Guess we can't be neighbors, but I know you two have always loved the Rexburg area (and it is pretty close to us--only 2 hours away) so I would have to HIGHLY recommend it. :) We could still be camping buddies...and Cali & Coleman's love could continue to bloom. :) Other than that, I have always loved Mesa/Phoenix area....but the heat in the summer is pretty brutal. Especially if you're not from there and used to it--but the people are so amazing...and there is so much to do there. Also, Washington has always been a place of interest to me. Never been there, but I hear it's beautiful. :) Just something to think about. No pressure on any of these, though....

Rexburg, Rexburg, Rexburg, Rexburg, Rexburg, Rexburg....

Hey Meg!! We ABSOLUTELY love Portland. It is a gorgeous part of the country with everything you can imagine available close by. They also have some of the best school systems in the country and the job market is still better here then most other places. It's clean, people are great...n e way...my two cents.!

I say Texas...people from TEXAS love it! We have three friends that moved there after graduation and they are loving it! Not to mention the"starter home" they bought is huge and WOW! I bet it probably doesn't cost that much more then our house. Since it is winter time I say AZ!!!!!!! Doesn't heat sound GREAT right now? Or we would like to live in CO but I don't think housing is very affordable and if you want lots of kids lots of bedrooms for less is AWESOME!!!

TEEG IS A CHUNK! I can't believe how cute. I can't wait to see you guys soon I hope. And I'm thinking you should move to Utah. Then you can be by the families. But like st. george so its not to long a drive. Or like Arizona so Dj and I can visit a lot.... Or colorado....

It was good to see you...since you're asking for opinions: As most people have said, family and weather seem to be the biggest concerns. They are for us too. We would love it here if it were a little less frigid and within a day's drive of family. That's so hard when Utah is out, but if you can get anywhere near family that would be so nice. To have your kids grow up really knowing their cousins and grandparents instead of them just being occasional visitors. That said, the Pacific NW is gorgeous! Since I only know that and ND, I would of course vote for WA or OR. Mild weather, gorgeous scenery, lots of cultural opportunities...I don't know what Phil will be paid, but it could be affordable for you. Good luck! Sorry this is so long!
