"All Jane Austen, All the Time"

So it seems as though I have become the greatest Jane Austen fan, all out of coincedence. Of course, I have always loved the books, and the movies (Pride & Prejudice, Emma, Sense & Sensibility, etc.), but a couple of weeks ago Phil and I watched "The Jane Austen Book Club" which I really liked and then this past week, "Becoming Jane" came out and I saw that. Then on Friday, a friend (Thanks Heather!) loaned me a book called, The Lost Memoirs of Jane Austen, by Syria James. Okay, this has got to hit the best-seller list because I couldn't put it down. I loved it. I highly suggest that anyone (Ashley) who loves Pride & Prejudice as much as I do must read it! So there is my plug for Jane Austen!

Onto more important matters, Valentine's was lovely! Here is a snapshot of the Roylance Clan before we opened our valentines from each other!

This is the ice cave. Phil and Coleman can both sit up inside it now (sorry, I didn't get that picture). Now Phil has informed me that he would like to start to make rooms so that the ice cave can turn into an ice house! Fun huh! Actually it scares me, and I won't go inside it, but I'm such a nice mom and let my 18 month old son play in there (with dad of course)!

The cold spell finally broke for a few days and we were able to spend some time outside. Then Sunday came with dreadful winds and the cold spell is back on! Some of the local residents tell us spring is on the way and that we should be seeing green grass in four weeks. (LOL!) I just can't see that happening. So for now, I just have to be excited for spring break when we go to Disneyland! Yay, only 13 days to go!

Well, we can all hope for green grass in 4 weeks! At least the snow should start melting by then... PS - Jane Austen is the best!

So do you own any of those movies you just watched or you get them through netflix? I so need a good Jane Austen! Those snow caves look way fun, but I'm with you - I think I would be too scared of them collapsing to go inside. Love ya!

Is it really only 13 days until Disneyland? We are SUPER excited around our house. The boys have been been playing pretend vacation down in the playhouse. I hope it is as wonderful for them as they're imagining it. :) It will be awesome!
