That's the cutest runny nose I've ever seen!

Sorry about the delay since I have last posted. I don't even have a good excuse, I just haven't done it. Anyway, it has been a good week and a half. We went down to Bismark last weekend. Phil had a conference to go to so Coleman and I tagged along. The hotel that we stayed at had a huge waterslide and cute kiddie toys in the pool area. We went down the slide a few times and each time got progressively worse. By the end he was crying and screaming. Oh well, someday he'll love them! This week has been pretty boring. We saw our first snow flurry. Don't worry it only lasted about five minutes and of course, nothing stuck. The day before it snowed, it was warm enough to play outside, and that is just what we did. Here are a few pictures of Coleman. Oh and Phil and Coleman decided to build a fort. Let me rephrase that. Phil built it, Coleman continued to tare it down. It was up just long enough for me to take a snapshot of Phil and Coleman!

Pumpkins

Last night we did my favorite Halloween activity . . . carving our pumpkins! Ok I don't really like the dirty work, but that is what Phil's for! :) Anyway, I just love how the faces take shape and how neat they look with the candles glowing. And the absolute best part is the smell of the candle in the pumpkin. MMMMmmmmmm . . . nothing like burnt pumpkin! Anyway, just thought I would add some pictures of the moment. Coleman was hilarious. We put the pumpkins on the floor so he could see them and he would crouch down and just stare at their faces! Oh and just thought I would update you on Coleman's new favorite game. Golf. He goes and gets the spatula out of the drawer in the kitchen and then runs around hitting a ball with it. And after each hit, the infamous golfer's words, "Uh, oh". It is so funny to watch! Anyway love you all!

Trunk or Treat

We had our ward Halloween party the other night. It was a lot of fun and totally humiliating at the same time. I made Phil dess up as Dracula and I was dressed as a witch. I worked hard on our costumes (not really, but we can pretend) and we show up and we are one of only three couples who dressed up. I felt so stupid. Oh well, Coleman looked cute in his spider costume! Anyway, they had some games set up for the kids inside the church and then we went outside for the trunk or treat. The weather was perfect and we had a full moon. I feel like Halloween has already come and gone! Except that we are carving our pumpkins tomorrow.

Well, the weather here has finally dropped in temperature. Coleman and I went for a walk earlier this morning and it had to be cut short due to the chilly wind. Anyway, how are all of your Halloween plans coming along? Are you doing anything fun? I wish we were!

Music

So I have now just spent an hour and a half trying to figure out this music thing. I saw this on a friends blog (thanks Jennie) and I thought it would be fun to add to mine. Anyway, poor Coleman just keeps playing with his toys, then he'll come grab my arm and give me the look. I guess I better go bathe him now. I hope all who look at my blog now enjoy my music too! You can stop the music by pushing the pause button. That is for all of you who don't enjoy excellent music! Come check back again, I'll be adding more music.

Grammy & Grumpy

Well, we just went through another super fun weekend! Grammy and Grumpy came, and we just had a blast! Dad and Phil went to the UND football game (they lost), while Mom, Coleman, and I went shopping. We then met up, went to dinner at Green Mill, which I thought was delicious, and from there headed to the UND hockey game. Phil was able to score us some awesome seats, three rows from the glass. Can I just say WOW! We had so much fun! (UND beat defending champs Michigan State 6-0). On Sunday it was a much more relaxing day filled with church, food, games, and walks by the river!

As for today, it isn't nearly as fun as the weekend. Coleman woke up with a cough and a runny nose and sneezing. He seams to be dizzy when he walks because he falls every couple steps and then cries and cries and cries. Right now he is doped up on medicine and sleeping thank heavens! Well, lets hope this doesn't last too long!

Wonderful Weekends

We just had the best, most relaxing weekend. We stayed in our pjs from Friday night all the way until Monday morning. Don't worry, we showered and put new pjs on each day. I added a picture of Coleman in the bath. Isn't he cute? Since it was conference weekend, we decided to take it nice and slow. Phil just set up his laptop and we watched conference via the internet. Other than the picture being smaller, I didn't even notice that I wasn't watching it on tv. Yesterday we made some delicious sugar cookies, if I do say so myself! We did fun Halloween shapes, and Phil's creativity definitely came out when it came time to add the sprinkles! :) Today I have been working on our halloween costumes. We are being a little boring by going as a Vampire (Phil), Witch (Me), and a Spider (Coleman). But oh well, what can you do? I am really excited about this next weekend, because Mom and Dad are coming to visit. Yeah family! :) I hope good weekends keep right on coming!

Terrible Mother

Well, today has been a rough one for Coleman and I. It all started when I was trying to trim his hair in the bathtub this morning. When of course he turned his head quickly, and off went a pretty good chunk of his ear. I freaked out and then almost passed out from all the blood. Coleman was amazing. He cried for just a little bit and then was ready to crawl around and play. I called Phil and told him he had to come home, I needed a nurse. So it turns out that Coleman just bled, a lot, needed a band-aid and was good to go. However, I am left with a terrible guilt and the feelings of a horrible mother. Lets just hope tomorrow goes a little bit better.
